When you are trying to train for sports you have to be sure that you know how you will train for speed and agility. There are many people that think simply going out and running will be enough for their training.

Although you should be running, you want to make sure that you understand how to increase the intensity of your training. When you increase the intensity you will also be able to improve the results that you have.

First, you will want to start by investing in an agility ladder. Make sure that you take the time that you need to find a ladder that is high quality that you can lay out on a soft surface to help you train for your agility and speed.

You should be sure that you take all of the time that you need to be sure that you find a ladder that will work well for you. There may be many inexpensive ladders out there, but you want to make sure that you invest in one that will last you some time.

After you get the ladder you will want to start by learning a few different exercises that you can participate in with the ladder. Lay it out on a soft surface and then start to experiment with some different exercises.


One of the exercises that you can participate in is the tango. This is a drill that can be very difficult to grasp, but you have to make sure that you take the time that you need to grasp it so that you can improve your speed and your agility.

Once you lay the ladder down you will want to make sure that you face the ladder and jump into the first run with both feet. When you jump into each of the rungs you want to try your hardest to make sure to not touch the rung on the ladder.

Then, you will want to jump to the second rung and but this time put both feet on the outside of the ladder. You have to be sure that when you jump to the outside of the ladder that you are still not letting your feet touch the ladder.

Continue this pattern throughout your entire exercise so that you can make your movements precise. After you have gone through once and gotten the motion you want to then take the time that you need to increase your speed.

Finally, when you have gotten the drill down you can then bring in a medicine ball. The medicine ball can make the workout much harder and you will want to start with a light medicine ball so that you can still be precise.


After you have the medicine ball you will want to hold it out in front of you at arm’s length throughout the exercise. Take the time that you need to be sure that you are going to be able to hold the medicine ball and jump quickly for the length of the ladder.
