Ride a bike. I know the car is the reason you get to sleep in that extra 15 minutes in the morning. When you own, or have the capability to ride a bike to those locations that you have to visit every day why not seize that opportunity. Save some money from the gas you’re not using and getting some exercise is never a bad thing.



Get a gym membership. Most people have a friend that’s been trying to get you to join the gym and workout with them. Don’t be shy. If you are a newbie in the gym no one really cares. Most people are so into themselves that they won’t notice that your inexperienced. Get in there and get healthy. Let your friend show you how to exercise and how to do it properly.



Go for a walk. For some people this activity just seems so outdated. But don’t feel bad about leaving the car at home. It’s the healthy thing to do and you know it.



Make the right dietary choices. Just keep on walking past that not good for you burger joint. There is plenty of healthy choices out there for you to make. Plan ahead and control your diet, don’t let the food control you.




Find the right hobby. Look for something that doesn’t have "video" or "game" in the description and you’ll be on the right track. Mountain biking, fishing, motorcycles, etc. There are plenty of activities that are not only good for you but also get you out in the world and experience some things that may not happen on your sofa.



Find some friends that are in the same healthy things you are. There are plenty of activities that are available in every state, and if you surround yourself by people that are into the same active things you are then you will be more likely to continue doing said activity.



Do something that will push you. Some people get into a routine that doesn’t allow exercise. Don’t be one of them. Do something small, but active to try to get shake up your old routine. Do what you have to do to make that change. You’re the only one that can.



If you don’t feel comfortable outside than there is still hope. Thanks to much advancement in technology there are many indoor ways to maintain a good lifestyle. Treadmills and elliptical s not only work at your desired speed and intensity, they also tell you the amount of calories burned and tell you your heart rate.




Do not drink your calories. Even many sports drinks are designed to replenish the body for the extremely active adult. So be wary about what you’re drinking. Most people don’t even realize it, but they are drinking an extra 1,000 empty calories a day. Water is always a safe bet.



Make a schedule and keep to it. If you tell yourself that you are going to make a change in your life than stick to it. Put the plan to paper and stick to it. Once you let yourself stray from the plan than your just going to do it time and time again. Make yourself stick to the plan.
